Adventure to Amazing Indonesia
The airline “Garuda Indonesia” has opened a flight to Palu, Central Sulawesi Island (Celebes The French), and that from 1 July 2010. This finally allows us to revive one of our most beautiful tours in Indonesia.
In twenty days, you can cross this vast sparsely populated island of the archipelago, rugged and covered with tropical forest. From south to north, by bus, on foot and by boat, we discover on foot the Toraja country and its unique architecture, then trek touring the heart of the jungle. We end our tour with the discovery of the archipelago Togian, beaches dreams, amazing limestone formations and its inhabitants warm.
As elsewhere in Indonesia, the population of Sulawesi is a true mosaic of ethnicities and religions. There are no fewer than eight major ethnic groups. From stage to stage, we discover ancient traditions, typical architecture or traditional fishing techniques. The tribes and Toraja Wanas welcome us into their village and show us their way of life. And in Makassar, Sulawesi’s main city, we visit the old neighborhoods, and we taste the pisang epe, a dish made from bananas.
Ultimately, Sulawesi is a dream destination for lovers of scenery and encounters, and the opening of flights to Palu is the opportunity to discover these beautiful islands.
